Want a chocolate milk recipe that will curb your sugar cravings?

TWM Newsletter, August 2024

Hey mama friend!

I hope you're having a great week so far!

I have been thinking about how I can serve my email community better lately.

I know we are all in different seasons of motherhood: some mothers just starting out to some mothers with multiple children.

Because of this spectrum, I want to know how I can offer valuable content to you!

So, would you kindly take a minute to fill out the below survey?

Then, for the good part: my chocolate mineral milk that I've been wanting to share with you and why it's so good for us mamas!!

Thank you for taking the time to fill out the short survey. It's my joy to bring you exclusive content each fortnight!

Now for the fun part.

Chocolate mineral milk (and why it's so good for us mamas!)

This is no ordinary chocolate milk. My friend (shout out to Nicola) gave it to me and I've also seen other nutritionists I follow share the same kind of recipe, so it's no joke how delicious and nutritious it is!

Why?

First of all, it contains collagen, an undeniably rich nutrient in protein, glutamine and darn good for your gut (my go-to is the vanilla collagen by Nutraorganics)

Second of all, it contains butter (grass-fed is best), an excellent source of fat and calcium and is a great sugar-stabiliser.

It contains real cacao, which is one of the highest sources of magnesium (supporting muscular and bone health) and makes for a rich taste.

And it has no artificial sweeteners, containing only pure maple syrup, which makes it sweet enough anyway!

Let's get to the recipe, shall we?

Ingredients

1 cup milk (any, but preferably cow's milk)

1 tbsp butter

1 tbsp pure maple syrup

2 tsp collagen powder

2 tbsp cacao powder

Optional: 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Method

On low heat, pour milk into small saucepan

Once milk is warm, add butter and stir

Add in maple syrup

Add in dry ingredients

Let simmer for 3-5 minutes

Voila! Enjoy mama :)

If you make the recipe, please let me know! I love hearing from other women if they have tried any of my recipes and what they think!

Enjoy the rest of your week, beautiful one!

TWM, September 2024 Do you struggle with low energy throughout the day? Hey mama friend, It's been beautiful spring weather recently and my energy peaks this time of year, as I am a huge fan of warmer days. Being pregnant means I struggle with my energy levels some days, so I am trying to be super intentional with 'listening' to my body. The other night we splurged and bought burgers and fries for dinner (yep, sometimes the Wholesome Mama eats fast food ;)) The next day, I had a really low...
